RRC Controls Services Ltd manufactures subsea controls systems to the offshore oil and gas industry. We also provide services in support of our own and other vendors’ equipment. Our Principles
RRC Controls was established to provide the control systems that our clients need, helping to ensure that the right solution is delivered on time and within budget. Our guiding principles are professionalism, efficiency and cost-effectiveness. We always work closely with our clients to understand their requirements and to identify the most appropriate option. RRC Controls was founded by engineers with extensive knowledge and experience of subsea control systems. We operate efficient and cost-effective processes allowing us to deliver quality products on schedule and to budget. We have manufactured and supplied a number of complete subsea control systems for operators in the North Sea. To date, none of our control modules has experienced a failure in operation. For a full list of our past projects, please click here. In addition to building its own products, RRC Controls maintains subsea controls equipment provided by others. As some installed systems near and exceed their design lives, it becomes more and more difficult for the original vendors to retain the in-depth knowledge required to maintain them. We have preserved an understanding of some of these systems, allowing us to extend the life of equipment that would otherwise need to be replaced. Our Clients
As well as providing control systems, RRC Controls has support contracts with Premier, CNR International and Chevron, and has a long-standing relationship with Talisman Energy (UK) Limited, involving the maintenance and support of their subsea control assets. We have completely redesigned the topsides and subsea power distribution systems for Talisman’s Highlander and Petronella fields and manufactured and installed new subsea electrical distribution units. These allow the systems to run at much lower voltages and with modern components. RRC Controls has also been commissioned to perform design and service work for many of the major operators and several vendors in the UK sector. We have completed the repair and refurbishment of more than thirty control modules from many separate projects and vendors. This work has ranged from the replacement of a complete SEM, through valve refurbishment & replacement to fault finding & repair at component level. RRC Controls also refurbishes pressure and temperature sensors and has recently designed and supplied new sensors for Talisman’s Highlander and Galley fields and Premier’s Balmoral and SE Stirling developments. RRC Controls is also involved in several initiatives for the future, and keeps abreast of new technologies as they arise. |
