RRC has developed a powerful surface control system that allows full control over deployed subsea equipment. Fully configurable and based on the advanced VTS application family, this system also allows integration with existing platform control systems. |
Product Summary |
RRC Master Control Station - Salient Data · Available as a stand alone unit or in combination with an electrical power unit (EPU) · Can be remotely monitored via the Internet from a shore office or from another location on a platform · Installed on industry-standard PCs and Microsoft Windows operating system · Based upon the powerful VTS application software in combination with RRC’s own interface layer · Links to existing platform DCS can be implemented |
Our development of interface Units for existing systems has allowed us to produce cost effective modern replacements for Master Control Stations on existing systems where maintenance has become a problem due to age of equipment, spares etc. To date, RRC have produced retrofit Master Control Stations to replace early GEC systems on Ninian South(Lyell) and Ninian Central (SSESVs) and to replace an old Ferranti Argus computer currently controlling the Balmoral field. All of these system have been installed and are operational. We have produced and installed a combined MCS/EPU to power and control the Galley subsea field which is now operated from the Tartan Platform. This system has the capability for remote monitoring from the shore office. A similar system will shortly be installed on Premier’s Balmoral FPV for control of Talisman’s Burghley field. A new MCS/EPU will shortly be completed for the Burghley field development. |
