This is where we'll announce the most recent additions to our web site. If you've visited us before and want to know what's changed, take a look here first.

RRC Controls  have just moved to larger industrial premises (our third move in seven years) in the Aberdeen area  to expand our available services including repair, design and supply of equipment. We have now completed various Control Module and sensor repairs and a number of 'new builds'.

We can now claim to have nine SCMs subsea (the first has been running since September 2005) all without problem.

Talisman awards Contract for Burghley Field Development Controls

Talisman have awarded the Contract for supply of controls equipment for the Burghley Field to RRC Controls. Scope of supply will include detailed engineering and 5 SCMs and all ancillary interconnection equipment. The supply will also include a Topsides Interface Unit and Electrical Power Unit.

CNR starts up second Lyell B Well via RRC SCMs

On 2 August 2007 CNR started up the second of several wells from its Lyell 'B' manifold which was deployed with seven RRC SCMs fitted in Sept 2006.

RRC Triples Workshop Space

RRC has just completed a move to larger premises within the Gourdon Estate (4,500 ft²). This has allowed us to enhance our production and repair areas and set up substantial inside equipment storage and management areas.

RRC Awarded contract for supply of 20 sensors for Talisman's Highlander Field

Talisman have awarded RRC the contract for the supply of 20 new sensors (10 pressure & 10 Temperature) for their Highlander field.

RRC Delivers 8 SCMs in Record Time

RRC has recently delivered 8 off subsea control modules for CNR's Lyell field extension. These SCMs were delivered within 5 months of Contract award. The SCMs have now been deployed subsea on the Lyell B manifold.

RRC completes installation of replacement Master Control Station(MCS)

RRC have just completed the installation and commissioning of a replacement MCS on CNR's Balmoral FPV. This PC based system replaces the aging Ferranti Argus computer originally installed with the system (circa 1983)

RRC Awarded contract for supply of 15 pressure sensors for CNR's Balmoral Field

CNR have awarded RRC the contract for the supply of 15 new pressure sensors for their Balmoral field.

RRC Awarded contract for Engineering & Equipment Supply for Talisman's Galley Tieback

RRC have been awarded the contract for Engineering and equipment supply for Talisman's Galley tieback project. Scope of supply includes all controls engineering work and supply of topsides combined Electrical Power Unit and Subsea Interface Unit for installation on Talisman's Tartan facility along with replacement subsea sensors, flowmeter, electrical distribution and electrical and hydraulic jumpers.

RRC Awarded contract for Controls Supply for CNR's Lyell Field Redevelopment

RRC have been awarded the contract for controls supply for CNR's Lyell Field re-development (ESP and Gas Lift Phase). This involves the detailed engineering and the supply of eight subsea controls modules (SCMs) and all associated equipment. This equipment will be supplied in ultra fast track mostly within 4 months of contract award.

RRC installs second control module on Talisman Orion Mey2 Well

RRC has now deployed its second subsea control module (SCM) on an FMC Tree controlling a second single well step out (Mey2) from Talisman's Orion

RRC installs first control module on Talisman Orion Tor Well

RRC has deployed its first subsea control module (SCM) on an FMC Tree controlling a single well step out from Talisman's Orion well named Orion TOR. This is a step out from an well controlled by FSSL® 3rd generation SCM using the same control system, umbilcals etc.

The well was successfully commissioned and opened up on 22 September 2005. Talisman have since ordered a further two SCMs.

Talisman award contract for supply of Controls Equipment for Orion TOR to RRC

Talisman Energy (UK) Limited have recently awarded the above engineering, development and supply contract to RRC.

This is a fast track development of a step out well from the existing Orion P1 well.

The scope of supply includes, Subsea Control Module, static e/h umbilical, associated hoses/jumpers/mounting bases and parking plates and topside modifications to existing control system. The contract was awarded in February, the tree equipment including the SCM were completed 27th May and tree integration will take place 6th June 2005.

Talisman Energy (UK) Limited have recently signed a two year extension to our joint Maintenance Contract in partnership with J&S Marine

RRC completes first major 'new build' project for ENI

RRC has recently completed the supply of controls equipment for ENI's SE Stirling development which include a mix of 'new build' and refurbished equipment

RRC awarded contract for replacement MCS for CNR's Lyell Field

RRC have been awarded ca contract to develop and supply a replacement MCS for its Lyell field which is controlled from its Ninian South Platform - delivery is scheduled for end of 2004.

RRC Gains Environmental Policy Accreditation

RRC's environmental policy has now been accredited to ISO 14001:1996

Alick Buchanan-Smith Spirit of Enterprise Award

RRC Controls Services was announced as the winner of this prestigious award at the annual Kincardine & Deeside Enterprise Trust dinner on 18 May 2001.

The award was presented to Ray Connelly by Mrs. Buchanan-Smith

ISO 9000:2001

RRC Controls Services has  been awarded an operating certificate to BS EN ISO 9000:2001 quality standard for Subsea Controls Systems Engineering.
